  • Windows 10 has to be updated to the latest version.
  • You should have a Wi-Fi enabled Laptop or desktop.
  • A laptop or desktop should have an active internet connection via Ethernet cable, Wi-Fi or cellular data connection.

Step By Step Guide How To Turn Your Computer Into A Mobile Hotspot?
  • Move your mouse cursor to the Windows Start menu or just simply click on the start button situated in the keyboard, then click on the Settings option.

  • Now click on the Network & Internet option shown up in the Settings menu.

  • After Selecting the Network & Internet you will be by default on the Status screen, click on the Mobile hotspot option bellow Airplane mode.
  • Select the Edit option.

  • In Edit Network info you have to enter your new Network name and password you prefer. After entering details hit the Save button.

  • Now click on the toggle button to turn on your Hotspot (Share my Internet connection with other devices).

  • Then close all the tabs and find the Wi-Fi or the Ethernet sign and click on it.
  • This menu will give you quick access to Mobile Hotspot, and from here you can manage and see how many devices are connected.

After completing all the steps now go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device which you want to connect, select your network name to enter the password, and then connect.


Windows 10 has lots of hidden features like this feature. While enabling this ultimate feature make sure you are following the steps correctly. But at the time of editing Network info use a strong password and Wi-Fi name.

Wi-Fi sign in your taskbar will provide you quick access to enable disable hotspot and to monitor how many devices are connected. This feature will help you to connect up to 8 devices with your laptop or desktop.
